Journey with Who?
Hey Friend,
Thanks for checking out my first blog post on JourneyWithScott.com - I’ll be using this space to share personal reflections on life and my work, and thought it’d be wise to first share a little more about myself and my background, to add context for any future posts.
My name is Scott Riley and I’ve been facilitating therapeutic work for close to a decade. I created an organisation called Causeway Living in 2016 to run Wim Hof Method retreats and workshops in Northern Ireland, but it evolved over years into something very different.
What started out as an invitation to get active outdoors together (usually through adventures into the cold water), eventually became an invitation to get still inward together (with a mix of breathwork, meditative techniques and body focused practices) to reduce stress.
I haven’t disregarded the value of physical activity, time in nature, or even cold therapy - they all continue to be an important part of my personal self-care, but years of continued training in various other therapeutic modalities led me to develop BodyMind Reset™.
You can read more about BodyMind Reset™ and where it came from here, so I won’t cover the same ground in this blog post, other than to say that supporting people to unburden themselves from excess stress feels like my true ‘dharma path’, where I can be of best service.
It feels good to share some other personal things about my ‘dharma’ and what really makes me, Me. Music has always been a big part of my life, but I only started to play music and sing over the last couple of years, inspired by the facilitation of my friends and fellow teachers.
On September 30th, 2025, I became a father. My beautiful wife Holly brought my son, Levi, into the world in the most magical home birth. I’m still very much adapting to dad-life, and even though it sounds like a cliché, it’s both the greatest gift and greatest challenge of my life.
I’m excited to continue sharing in future posts, but for now I’ll just say thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little better by reading this post. Feel free to get in touch any time, or follow on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn if you don’t want to wait for the next blog post,
Best wishes until then,
- Scott
