Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue
The NI Fire & Rescue Service wanted a 50 minute online seminar that staff and volunteers from around the province could join via Zoom. We focused on breath-awareness to manage stress levels, and included a short, guided breathwork experience for the participants.
Each year my department within the NIFRS organise a week of events called the Do It For You Week promoting health and well-being to all staff throughout the service. This year I had dabbled into a little bit of information about Breathwork and how beneficial it is for people’s mental health so I wanted to offer a seminar within the service as part of the DIFY week initiative for all operational and support staff.
I reached out to a few different people qualified in this topic but after speaking with Scott on the phone it was clear he is very passionate about with his work and how it can help others, so we confirmed a booking for a seminar.
Scott hosted an online seminar for us, and it exceeded my expectations, it was very informative but also very practical with a guided breathwork and meditation. Scott’s set up, presence & music were all very calming, relaxing and professional. I received great feedback from those who attended the seminar, and I hope to book Scott again in the future for more online or in person seminars/events.
I personally gained a lot from the online session, so much so that I booked in for a private in person session, and again it exceeded my expectations. I had read information online about breathwork and its benefits but after both sessions with Scott only now can I fully appreciate and understand the benefits from breathwork and how it can positively impact your mental and physical health .
Scott is a very calm person with a kind and trusting energy about him, I would highly recommend his seminars and 1-2-1 sessions to anyone, especially those working in the Blue Light/Front Line Services as these can be quite stressful roles and learning the different techniques and skills Scott offers to use in everyday life will promote a healthier and happier career/lifestyle.
